Research Interests:

- HIV Pathogenesis and Cure My research focuses on studies of HIV pathogenesis and cure. Using both humans and nonhuman primates, we aim to (i) define the causes of residual inflammation in ART-treated HIV/SIV infection, (ii) define the anatomic and phenotypical nature of the HIV reservoir, and (iii) design interventions to target inflammation and HIV persistence
