    Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship

The gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology fellowship program provides core clinical diagnostic training in disorders of the luminal GI tract, pancreas and liver. This is a 1-year ACGME-accredited program. Emory University Hospital is a large academic center that provides the fellows with exposure to a wide variety of pathologic entities, including inflammatory and non-neoplastic disorders, solid organ transplants, and a variety of oncologic processes. Biopsies, resections and consult cases are all incorporated into the training environment. The fellows will work with highly respected national and international leaders in their fields. Our GI and hepatobiliary subspecialty service is staffed by seven faculty members with diverse clinical and research interests. Our fellows are expected to participate in a variety of research projects, QA studies, and educational activities. Ample clinically related research opportunities exist within the Emory campus, as well as basic GI-related research within the epithelial cell biology unit.
